U.S.and Chinese soldiers at an airstrip in central Burma watch rescuers free the pilot and three infantrymen passengers from the wreckage of aU.S.Army liaison plane which failed to clear the branches of atree while attempting to land.The three infantrymen are members of the Mars Task Force,a unit of specially-trained U.S.Infantry and artillerymen participating in the battle against the Japanese in central Burma.
