大衛·包瑞德上校和代表團其他成員視察第359旅的軍服工廠。工廠中所有的工人都是士兵，旅裏所有軍服都由這家工廠生產，而且全旅將士的食品供給也是由士兵們耕作獲得。士兵開荒種田，出產的糧食不僅足以供應全旅官兵，還上交給延安邊區政府很多噸余糧。

Colonel David D.Barrett and members of the Section inspect the359th Brigade's uniform factory.All workers in the factory are soldiers and all uniforms worn by the brigade are made here.In addition,all food eaten by the brigade is grown by the soldiers,who have moved into aformerly barren plus asurplus of many tons that is contributed to the Government in Yenan.
