一位洪災的幸存者在小小的木頭避難所下避雨，並哺育她的孩子。巫水河的兩岸在兩周的暴雨後被淹沒。在通往芷江和中國東部的公路387公裏處的洪江，許多村民失去了他們的房屋。巫水河上漲了20尺，淹沒了洪江橋堤防，斷絕了中國東部芷江戰場的補給線。

In alittle wooden shack built to shelter them from the rains,this flood victim feeds her little one.When the Woo Shie River overflowed it’s banks due to a2weeks heavy rains.Many Villagers of Huang Hsien,China,at Kilo387on the road to Chih Chiang and Eastern China,lost their homes.The Woo Shie River rose20feet during the flood and washed away the Huang Hsien Bridge embankments,cutting the supply road to Eastern China's battlefields around Chih-chiang.China.
