Former Olympic champion Earl Meadows shows vigorous form at the start of an exhibition pole vault match in China.Shortly after this picture was snapped he cleared14feet to win over Dick Ganslen,ex-collegiate star.The altitude of the field was6282feet.This match was afeature of the recent Chinese-American Army Track meet,sponsored by Gen.Chennault's14th Air Force.
