中國的首都重慶郊外一座山嶺上，裝備了一門高射炮。白天日軍轟炸機肆虐了中國多個城市。今天他們沒敢來挑戰。高射炮戰略性地部署在重慶市四周。這個城市在過去三年夏天中遭受到的轟炸比世界上任何城市都要猛烈。當五月到來，新一輪轟炸又要開始，這些嚴格訓練的防空部隊地勤人員整裝待發準備應對來自空中的襲擊。高射炮設置在一個環形小坑內，由樹葉和樹枝掩護好以防被敵機發現。

A Chinese anti-aircraft battery stands at alert on ahill outside of Chungking,China's capital.Gone are the days when Jap bombers flow over Chinese cities with insolent impunity.Today they are not by fighter planes and an anti-air craft barrage.Anti-aircraft guns are strategically placed on the hill tops surrounding the city of Chungking,which has suffered the heaviest bombing of any city in the world during the past three summers.With May the bombing weather starts again,and these highly trained anti-aircraft guns crews are ready for the next expected attack from the air.The gun is set in asmall crater,and is well camouflaged from the enemy planes by brances and leaves.
